Mater Academy East Las Vegas' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amija Macon, who posted 22 points in addition to eight boards and eight blocks. With that strong performance, Macon is now averaging an impressive 2.6 blocks per game. Another player making a difference was Aa'Ziah Fraizer, who went 8-for-15 on her way to 18 points and three steals.

Mater Academy East Las Vegas' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Coronado, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
