Baseball Game Preview: Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers vs. Aurora Greenmen

Cuyahoga Falls is 0-6 against Aurora since April of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Black Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Greenmen at 5:00 p.m. Neither Cuyahoga Falls nor Aurora posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Last Thursday, Cuyahoga Falls came up short against Alliance and fell 7-2. The Black Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cuyahoga Falls saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Luke, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Aurora fell victim to Revere and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Minutemen by a score of 1-0. The Greenmen just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Alex Kaczmarek was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Cuyahoga Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Aurora, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Cuyahoga Falls suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Aurora in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Black Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
