Softball Recap: Hilltop Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hilltop ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Blissfield Royals 3-2. The Cadets haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Sophia Crossgrove, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.

Hilltop's victory bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Blissfield, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hilltop will host Miller City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cadets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Blissfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillsdale at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
