Basketball Recap: Schuylerville Takes a Loss

Schuylerville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 75-41 loss at the hands of the Amsterdam Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 77-56 back in January.

Amsterdam got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jude Flint out in front who went 8-for-11 en route to 18 points and five boards. Flint continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Rocco Natale, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Schuylerville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Amsterdam, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Schuylerville will face off against Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Amsterdam, they will head out to take on Broadalbin-Perth at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
