There's no place like home for Murphy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Andrews Wildcats by a score of 54-42 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Wildcats last Tuesday, they had to take a 55-45 defeat.

Murphy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyler Payne, who posted 15 points. What's more, Payne also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Abram Twiggs, who went 6-for-10 en route to 15 points and five rebounds.

Murphy was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Andrews only racked up seven assists.

Despite the loss, Andrews still got an impressive performance from Ty Clark, who went 8-for-16 on his way to 19 points and seven boards. Kegan Ellis was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Murphy's record now sits at 13-10. As for Andrews, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.

Murphy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-54 victory against Hayesville on the 15th. As for Andrews, they have also already played their next contest, a 77-45 win against Swain County on the 15th.
