Cullman entered their tilt with Hartselle on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-50 victory over the Hartselle Tigers. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Tigers are ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cullman is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. As for Hartselle, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.
