Roosevelt dropped their record down to 12-12 on Thursday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell 7-2 to the Trenton Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 back in April.

Jadn' McGowen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

As for Trenton, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games.

On Trenton's side, Talon Vanhovel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carson Boike, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will face off against West Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lakers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Trenton, they will square off against Garden City at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
