Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Prep Saints vs. Lake Nona Lions

The Trinity Prep Saints are taking a road trip to challenge the Lake Nona Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Trinity Prep ended up a good deal behind Deltona and lost 49-35. The Saints have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Reese Macau put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted 16 points.

Meanwhile, Lake Nona played a tough game last Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 61-23 loss at the hands of Boone. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lions have suffered against the Braves since December 7, 2018.

Lake Nona dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Trinity Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Trinity Prep took a serious blow against Lake Nona when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 58-26. Can Trinity Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
