It was a Battle of the Birds when Perry Meridian duked it out with Decatur Central on Thursday. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Hawks 3-2. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Perry Meridian were the better team in the second half.

Derick Montoya and Jose Miralda scored all three of Perry Meridian's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The victory got Perry Meridian back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Perry Meridian is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Mooresville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Decatur Central, they have already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Christel House on the 23rd.
