Recap: Tilden Blue Devils vs. Goode STEM Academy Knights
The Tilden Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Goode STEM Academy by a score of 45-43.
Tilden lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lunden Williams, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Williams also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jose Pacheco, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Tilden has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Goode STEM Academy, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 10-10.
Tilden will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Excel Academy of South Shore at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Goode STEM Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Steinmetz College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Steinmetz College Prep will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
