Basketball Game Preview: GlenOak Golden Eagles vs. Lake Blue Streaks

The GlenOak Golden Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Lake Blue Streaks at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

GlenOak is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Jackson on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. GlenOak was outmatched by Jackson and fell 86-50. The Golden Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-23.

Meanwhile, Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 57-33 to Hoover. While losing is never fun, the Blue Streaks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while the Vikings are ranked 134th).

Lake's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for GlenOak, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything came up roses for GlenOak against Lake in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 78-47 win. Will GlenOak repeat their success, or does Lake have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
