Volleyball Recap: Greeley Central Comes Up Short

Greeley Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Poudre Impalas, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Impalas this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Wednesday.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-16.

Tawke Blu Soe paced Greeley Central's offense, picking up six kills. Soe got some help from Jonathan Chumacero and his 12 assists. DeAngelo Velarde controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Greeley Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Poudre, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Greeley Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Mountain View on the 4th. As for Poudre, they will challenge Niwot at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
