Basketball Recap: Colorado Academy Skates Past Windsor Charter Academy with Ease

Colorado Academy had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 28-point drubbing they dealt Windsor Charter Academy on Thursday. The Colorado Academy Mustangs breezed by the Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds to the tune of 57-29. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Colorado Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anna Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards. With that strong performance, Johnson is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Mira Leon, who went 8 of 13 on her way to 19 points.

Colorado Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Windsor Charter Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Colorado Academy and Berthoud will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Colorado Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Windsor Charter Academy, they will host Banning Lewis Academy at 6:15 p.m. on December 20th.
