Softball Recap: Kasson-Mantorville Komets vs. Red Wing Wingers
Kasson-Mantorville was the 4-2 winner over Red Wing when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Kasson-Mantorville Komets lost 10-3 to the Red Wing Wingers on Friday.
For Red Wing's part, Brianna Tix made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Tix was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Miley Clemons was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Amy Grove, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Kasson-Mantorville's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Red Wing, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.
