Dresden entered their tilt with Lake County on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the Falcons 56-14. The Lions' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Luke Di Pietro had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 187 yards and six TDs on only 15 carries. Those six rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Bruce Willis was in the mix as well, providing Dresden with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Dresden was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 306 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 196 rushing yards in eight consecutive contests.

Another reason for the win was Dresden's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Aiden Essary, Zane Novotny, and Brody Taylor, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Dresden's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Lake County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Dresden didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-12 win against Middleton on the 7th. Lake County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
