The Oxford Academy Patriots had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 48-39 win over El Rancho on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Oxford Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
El Rancho's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Troy Barajas, who scored 13 points, and Jason Guzman who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Oxford Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9. As for El Rancho, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-13.
