Recap: Lindsay Knights vs. Sulphur Bluff Bears
The Lindsay Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 55-26 stomp they got on the road against Sulphur Bluff. Winning may never get old, but Lindsay sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Sulphur Bluff lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Emma Neal. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points along with four steals. Neal has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Ana Servin was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Lindsay's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Sulphur Bluff, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.
Lindsay and Blue Ridge will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Blue Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 857th, while Lindsay is ranked 191st). Sulphur Bluff will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Saltillo at 3:00 p.m. on December 29th.
