Game recap: Prescott High School Football Team bests Rivercrest

WILSON, Ark. - Prescott (Ark.) saw its 14-point lead shrink to 10, but hung on to defeat Rivercrest (Wilson, Ark.) 24-14 on Saturday.

The Colts pulled ahead on a touchdown, and subsequently went into halftime leading 7-6. The Wolves took the lead for good with a touchdown run by Cecil Langston in the second quarter.

The loss snapped Rivercrest's five-game winning streak.

Prescott came in allowing an average of 21.0 points per game this season. PHS held firm on the defensive front, and kept Rivercrest well below the 28.9 points it had been averaging per game.

The win was a nice bounce back for the Wolves, who lost to Fouke last week, 19-13. The loss comes after Rivercrest defeated Osceola 28-27 last week.
