Windham is 1-7 against Mathews since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bombers will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Windham is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Last Wednesday, Windham didn't have quite enough to beat Bloomfield and fell 5-4.

Breille Jones and Skylar Bailey did some serious damage despite the final result: Jones went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Bailey went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that Bailey hit this season. Another player making a difference was Alexandria Hudak, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Mathews unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Marysville by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since May 30, 2024.

Windham's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Mathews, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Windham suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Mathews when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Bombers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
