Mountain Empire had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. Everything went their way against the High Tech CV Bruins as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

While Mountain Empire won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-9, 25-23.

Leading Mountain Empire to victory were Breeza Valdez and Rowan Smith. Valdez had ten digs and six aces, while Smith had 16 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Valdez has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Mountain Empire was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in nine consecutive matchups.

Mountain Empire's record now sits at 24-7. As for High Tech CV, they dropped their record down to 12-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Mountain Empire nor the Bruins have any future games scheduled.
