Basketball Recap: Weber Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Weber won the last time they faced Fremont and things went their way on Friday too. The Weber Warriors were the clear victor by a 72-50 margin over the Fremont Silverwolves. The Warriors pushed the score to 64-37 by the end of the third, a deficit the Silverwolves cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Fremont still got an impressive performance from Cam Campbell, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points along with eight boards and four steals. Those four steals gave Campbell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Duft, who posted 14 points.

Weber's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. As for Fremont, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Weber will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Layton at 7:00 p.m. Weber knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 games -- so hopefully Layton likes a good challenge. As for Fremont, they are taking a road trip to square off against Syracuse at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fremont is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season.
