Softball Recap: Dansville Takes a Loss

Dansville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles, falling 14-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 two weeks ago.

Dansville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elliot Hanks, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Brooke Miller also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Dansville's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Wayland-Cohocton, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dansville will venture away from home to face off against York at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are facing the Golden Knights at the right time seeing as the Golden Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Wayland-Cohocton, they are taking a road trip to take on Haverling at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
