Basketball Game Preview: Hershey Panthers vs. Valentine

Hershey is 7-1 against Valentine since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Hershey Panthers will host Valentine at 6:00 p.m. Hershey knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Valentine likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hershey faced off against Maxwell on Friday. Hershey took their contest with ease, bagging a 58-30 victory over Maxwell. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 28 points or more this season.

Hershey's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenna Bringewatt led the charge by going 6 of 11 en route to 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those 14 points gave Bringewatt a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Demi Damoude, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Hershey was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maxwell only racked up seven assists.

Meanwhile, Valentine strolled past Cody-Kilgore with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 50-35.

Valentine's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Hershey, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Hershey beat Valentine 43-35 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Will Hershey repeat their success, or does Valentine have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
