Basketball Recap: Valley Heights Comes Up Short

Valley Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chapman Irish.

Jed Moody had an outrageously good game for Chapman as he almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Moody a new career-high in assists (five). Drew Elliott was another key player, putting up nine points.

Valley Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Chapman, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-14.

Valley Heights has already played their next game (against Clay Center), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Chapman, they will head out on the road to square off against Concordia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Concordia will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Chapman surely won't give up without a fight.
