Basketball Game Preview: Castlewood Warriors vs. Canton C-Hawks

The Castlewood Warriors will face off against the Canton C-Hawks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Last Thursday, Castlewood ended up a good deal behind Great Plains Lutheran and lost 42-25. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Castlewood's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cassidy Kirwan, who posted ten points, and Ava Ruml, who put up four points. Kirwan continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Kendra Nielsen also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canton). They walked away with a 62-51 win over Dell Rapids last Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the C-Hawks.

Canton is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Castlewood, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
