Basketball Recap: Belton-Honea Path Comes Up Short

Belton-Honea Path lost against West-Oak back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Belton-Honea Path Bears were dealt a 73-27 loss at the hands of the West-Oak Warriors. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-14.

Reagan Mobley was her usual excellent self, going 9 of 15 on her way to 23 points along with seven assists and seven boards for West-Oak. What's more, Mobley also racked up seven steals, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kinady Marcengill, who went 6 for 14 en route to 13 points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds.

Belton-Honea Path's defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for West-Oak, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Belton-Honea Path won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pendleton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West-Oak, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Crescent at 6:00 p.m.
