Softball Recap: McDonogh 35 Comes Up Short

McDonogh 35 was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the East St. John Wildcats, falling 19-3. The Roneagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

McDonogh 35's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for East St. John, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, McDonogh 35 will square off against Warren Easton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.4 runs per game on average), something the Roneagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for East St. John, they have already played their next game, an 18-3 win against St. Mary's Academy on the 27th.
