Basketball Game Preview: Moses Brown Quakers vs. Cranston West Falcons

The Moses Brown Quakers are taking a road trip to challenge the Cranston West Falcons at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Moses Brown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Moses Brown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: West Warwick, who was ranked ninth at the time (Moses Brown was ranked third). Moses Brown secured a 66-60 W over West Warwick on Thursday.

Moses Brown's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Donovan Clement, who shot 5-for-6 from long range and dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds, and Otis Crosby, who went 7 for 15 en route to 22 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The match was Crosby's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Michael Shih, who posted six points and eight assists.

Moses Brown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Cranston West posted their biggest win since December 16, 2024 on Thursday. Everything went their way against Chariho as Cranston West made off with a 62-39 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Moses Brown's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Cranston West, their record now sits at 6-7.
