Football Game Preview: Ridgeview Wolf Pack vs. Highland Scots + How To Watch

The Ridgeview Wolf Pack will face off against the Highland Scots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ridgeview is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Bakersfield on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wolf Pack lost 35-12 to the Drillers. While losing is never fun, the Wolf Pack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 440th, while the Drillers are ranked 108th).

Despite the defeat, Ridgeview had strong showings from Meikhi White, who picked up 109 receiving yards and one score, and Rob Smith, who threw for 218 yards and one TD.

Even if they lost, Ridgeview's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, Francisco Palma was the leader with two.

Meanwhile, Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Frontier, falling 41-20. The Scots were down 34-13 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Ridgeview, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Ridgeview took a serious blow against Highland when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 48-14. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wolf Pack were down 27-6.
