Baseball Recap: St. Petersburg Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for St. Petersburg's offense. They lost 9-0 to the Calvary Christian Warriors on Friday. The Green Devils have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

St. Petersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Calvary Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Looking ahead, St. Petersburg will face off against Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northeast will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Calvary Christian, they will challenge Venice at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Calvary Christian has won eight straight at home, while Venice won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
