Volleyball Recap: KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate Takes a Loss

If KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Nashoba Valley Tech on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Salem Academy Charter Navigator by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Navigator apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate actually scored more points across those five sets (98-92), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-18, 25-21, 12-25, 15-9.

Evelyn Nwoke paced KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate's offense, picking up 12 kills. Nwoke got some help from Andrea De Leon and her 16 assists. De Leon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 4-6. As for Salem Academy Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate will challenge Neighborhood House Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Salem Academy Charter, they will host Excel Academy Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
