Basketball Recap: Early Comes Up Short

If Early was riding high fresh off their 78-32 takedown of Halfway last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Early Panthers took a hard 61-45 fall against the Chadwick Cardinals on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.

Early's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Chadwick, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Early will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Crane at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. Chadwick also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Everton at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th.
