The Providence Cristo Rey Wolves can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Central Christian Academy with a 42-36 victory. The victory was just what Providence Cristo Rey needed coming off of a 71-24 loss in their prior contest.

Despite the defeat, Central Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Ky Baker scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Mason Allen, who scored 5 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.

Providence Cristo Rey's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Central Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.

Providence Cristo Rey will be playing at home against Indiana School for the Deaf at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Indiana School for the Deaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday. As for Central Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Tindley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
