            Softball Preview: Sycamore Spartans vs. Oswego Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            The Sycamore Spartans will challenge the Oswego Panthers at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (Sycamore 2.9, Oswego 2.1) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
Last Wednesday, Sycamore didn't have quite enough to beat Morris and fell  3-2.
Meanwhile, Oswego had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp  13-2 win. Considering the Panthers have won 23 contests by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Aubriella Garza made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Rikka Ludvigson was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 Oswego  lost a few balls and  finished the game with three  home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oswego East didn't  launched any home runs.
 Oswego's victory was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 31-1. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Sycamore, their loss dropped their record down to 24-5-1.
