Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hiawatha). They put the hurt on the Royal Valley Panthers with a sharp 20-1 win on Monday. The Red Hawks haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Xavier Oldham was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Karson Henry, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

Hiawatha's win bumped their record up to 2-4-1. As for Royal Valley, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hiawatha is set to take on their familiar foe Silver Lake at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Royal Valley will face off against rival Jefferson West on Monday.
