Softball Game Preview: Scott Eagles vs. Simon Kenton Pioneers

Scott is 0-4 against Simon Kenton since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Eagles will take on the Pioneers at 5:30 p.m. Scott is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Scott fell victim to Pendleton County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Wildcats. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Simon Kenton waltzed into their match on Monday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They came out on top against the Indians by a score of 8-4.

Simon Kenton pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Scott, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10-1.

Scott suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Simon Kenton when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
