Softball Recap: Klahowya Takes a Loss

Klahowya and Royal squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Klahowya had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 4-2. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Brooklyn Hart put in work no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Hart wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bailey O'Brien, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Klahowya's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-11-1. As for Royal, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Klahowya nor Royal have any future games scheduled.
