Baseball Recap: Paul VI Drops Season-High Score on Archbishop Carroll

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paul VI). They blew past the Archbishop Carroll Lions 27-1 on Friday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 7.1 runs per game.

Bryson Pickeral looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Noah Munoz was a standout: he scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Sirois, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Paul VI was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Paul VI pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games.
