Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ferndale). They enjoyed a cozy 62-45 win over the Everett Seagulls on Tuesday. Given the Golden Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Seagulls are ranked 300th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ferndale's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Everett, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ferndale will head out to square off against Mount Vernon at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Everett, they are taking a road trip to face off against Marysville-Pilchuck at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Everett is facing Marysville-Pilchuck at the right time seeing as Marysville-Pilchuck is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
