Basketball Recap: Tripoli's Losing Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Tripoli had to endure an eight-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-54 win over the Rockford Warriors on Friday. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Tripoli's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Rockford, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

After both having extra time off, Tripoli and Nashua-Plainfield will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:45 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Rockford, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Ansgar at 8:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
