 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Saint Francis had no problem doing just that  on Saturday. They came out on top against the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs by a score of  7-2. Saint Francis'  victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet  this season.
  Kate Munnerlyn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 12 consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Jaime Oakland, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Rebecca Quinn, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 On Archbishop Mitty's side,  Kyleigh Mace was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned  (and five unearned) runs off   eight  hits.
 On the hitting side, Archbishop Mitty saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Corri Hicks, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Saint Francis' win bumped their record up to 28-0. As for Archbishop Mitty, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-4.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saint Francis will take on Amador Valley at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Saint Francis will be looking to keep their 28-game home win streak  dating back to last season alive. Archbishop Mitty will take on Whitney at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Whitney will roll in looking for their  18th straight  victory, something Archbishop Mitty surely won't give up without a fight.
