Elwood added to the longest winning streak in Central Indiana this week by beating Lapel, 58-50. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Panthers.

Elwood was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in the league. Marty Wells' team vanquished the Bulldogs 58-50 earlier in the week.

Blaize Kelly threw for 295 yards and 5 touchdowns. He was 8-13 with 0 interceptions.

Sammy Mireles was a beast in the backfield as the Panthers beat Lapel.

Mireles was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 220 yards on 27 carries as Elwood topped Frankton. Teammate Zane Boyer added to the ground attack by rushing for 65 yards.

Leading Central Indiana in both passing and receiving yards, the Tigers' Kelly and Johnson have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback Kelly has thrown for 2,243 yards this season, while Johnson has 50 catches for 718 yards. The Panthers' Mireles leads the league in rushing yards with 2,522.

In 143 carries Luke Stroup has accumulated 941 yard this year.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Elwood takes on Alexandria-Monroe. As it stands, the Panthers are in second, while Pete Gast's team is in fourth.

The league will see a high scoring game when Elwood and the Tigers face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Panthers comes in having scored 426 this season, while Alexandria-Monroe has scored 358. Elwood scored 58 points last week as it defeated Tim Miller's team.

The Eagles fell to the Tigers 61-34 last week, the largest margin of any game. Brayden Ginder was a bright spot for Frankton, as he threw for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns in the loss.
