Baseball Game Preview: Spotsylvania Knights vs. Louisa County Lions

The Spotsylvania Knights will face off against the Louisa County Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Spotsylvania is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Friday, Spotsylvania made easy work of James Monroe and carried off an 11-1 win. Fans of the Knights have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Josh Perez was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Nathan Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Spotsylvania always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as James Monroe only posted an OBP of .350.

Meanwhile, Louisa County earned a 5-2 victory over Orange County on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Fighting Hornets: they've now won seven in a row.

Spotsylvania's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Louisa County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
