Tennessee hasn't had much luck against David Crockett recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Tennessee took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top against Elizabethton by a score of 56-47.

Tennessee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Addie Wilhoit out in front who went 6-for-15 on her way to 18 points and three steals. The game was Wilhoit's fifth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Jones, who went 8-for-17 to rack up 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, David Crockett had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.6 points) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Saturday. They blew past the Blue Devils 78-43. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Tennessee better focus on containing Aaliyah Story and Brylee Tullock as the pair were huge in David Crockett's win. Story dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards, while Tullock dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. Story has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 13 times she's played. Laney Britton was another key player, putting up 12 points.
David Crockett smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 16 consecutive contests.
David Crockett's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points over those games. As for Tennessee, their win bumped their record up to 11-16.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Tennessee has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.7 boards per game. However, it's not like David Crockett struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
