The Keswick Christian Crusaders will venture away from home to take on the Shorecrest Prep Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keswick Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Keswick Christian had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Oasis Christian on Monday. Keswick Christian put the hurt on Oasis Christian with a sharp 11-1 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Crusaders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Evan Lightfield and Landon Wilson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Lightfield tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Wilson pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. At bat, Lightfield scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Wilson scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Wilson has become a key player for Keswick Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dylan Williams, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Ryan DeOrsey was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Keswick Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oasis Christian didn't got any hits.
Meanwhile, Shorecrest Prep narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Indian Rocks Christian 4-2.
Beau LeCain was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jake Diner, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Shorecrest Prep pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Keswick Christian, their record now sits at 11-7.
Keswick Christian's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. Keswick Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Shorecrest Prep, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Keswick Christian continue to outrun the ball?
Keswick Christian skirted past Shorecrest Prep 4-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Keswick Christian since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
