Soccer Game Preview: Whitney vs. Glenn

The Whitney Wildcats will head out to face off against the Glenn Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitney's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Whitney fell victim to Artesia and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Pioneers, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1055th, while the Pioneers are ranked 168th).

Meanwhile, Glenn didn't have quite enough to beat Oxford Academy on Friday and fell 2-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-2. As for Whitney, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11-5.

Whitney came out on top in a nail-biter against Glenn in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Whitney since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
