Basketball Recap: Honaker Comes Up Short

Honaker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 62-32 loss at the hands of the Cloudland Highlanders. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 30 points.

Honaker's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-6. As for Cloudland, their win ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-6.

Honaker will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rural Retreat at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Cloudland and Oakdale will round out the year against one another at at 1:45 p.m. on Friday.
