Volleyball Recap: Angeline Academy of Innovation Comes Up Short

The Angeline Academy of Innovation Archers came up short against the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Archers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-8, 25-16.

Alyssa Booth paced Angeline Academy of Innovation's offense, picking up seven kills. Booth got some help from Mayson Cregger and her 15 assists. Booth was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Leading Wiregrass Ranch to victory were Ezgi Demirok and Luiza Valladares. Demirok had three digs and three aces, while Valladares had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces Demirok has posted since back in September.

Angeline Academy of Innovation's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Angeline Academy of Innovation wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Hernando Christian Academy on the 6th. As for Wiregrass Ranch, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against River Ridge on the 3rd.
