Basketball Game Preview: River Ridge Timberwolves vs. Benton Zephyrs

River Ridge is a perfect 10-0 against Benton since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Timberwolves will welcome the Zephyrs at 7:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

River Ridge is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Fennimore on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Timberwolves took a blow against the Golden Eagles, falling 53-26. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Benton had taken Southwestern down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Zephyrs took a 63-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

River Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Benton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything came up roses for River Ridge against Benton in their previous matchup back in February, as the squad secured a 69-20 win. Do the Timberwolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Zephyrs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
