West Genesee and Nottingham squared off in some playoff action on Sunday, but West Genesee had to settle for second. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nottingham Bulldogs. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

West Genesee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Nottingham, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

West Genesee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nottingham, they will face off against Catholic Central at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Catholic Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Nottingham likes a good challenge.
